Reprieve is a cathartic expression of the transformative, healing spaces we find in our lives. Through necessity, we seek out a place to process, grieve, strengthen, and regenerate. In my own life, especially during the time reflected on in the making of this piece, the bathtub has been that space for me.

Viewable as both a short experimental film or a site-specific installation, Reprieve uses color and lighting to evoke fear and rest, escape and peace. The performative aspects reflect on my personal relationship to the space, and allow the viewer to consider their own places of transformation and healing, and what those spaces have seen of them.
